Cookies on FeelingGuide

The only cookies FeelingGuide sets are for analytics. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland they stay off unless you say yes. Everywhere else they are on, and you can switch them off below.

Essential

One small record of your cookie choice, kept in your own browser so we do not ask again on every page. It holds nothing but your answer. It cannot be switched off, because without it we would have to keep asking.

If something you write in the identify tool suggests you might be at risk, your browser keeps a note for 24 hours that stops us showing you the paid Next steps offer. It holds only the time it runs out, nothing you wrote, and it is never sent anywhere except back to us with your next message.

Analytics, optional

Google Analytics tells us which pages people actually use, how they arrived, and where they give up. That is how we know which of the 870+ feelings pages are worth improving. It sets cookies in your browser and shares a record of the visit with Google.

In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, Google Consent Mode holds analytics storage in a denied state until you accept, so no analytics cookie is written. Google works out which region you are in from your IP address. Elsewhere analytics is on from the start, and saying no below turns it off. Advertising storage is off everywhere. What you type into the identify tool is never sent to Google, whatever you choose here.

What we do not do

No advertising cookies, no marketing pixels, no cross-site tracking, no data sold to anyone. If that changes, this page changes first, and the banner will ask you again.
